I know was born here in 1960,  but my parents only lived in Kensington for about eight years, then we moved to the coast.

I’m trying to find out if I was readmitted  here (or hospitalised elsewhere) in 1962/3  for penicillin poisoning, measles  complications, septicaemia. I know I had to learn to walk and talk again. I know I was in hospital for at least six months, if not longer, apparently “I swelled up like a puff ball”  according to my mother (Who had an American governess, hence the idiom.)

Unfortunately that’s all I know because neither of my parents were particularly communicative in general.

They have both since passed on.  I am now have severe disabilities  and I’m trying to find out if everything ‘started’ from that episode.
